Found in oceans and seas around the world, it is known for emitting complex sequences of haunting moans. The humpback is a large whale up to 19 meters (62 feet) long. They migrate from the poles to the equator seasonally and travel in pods.[1]
During the Golden Age of Piracy, the humpback whales were hunted in the Caribbean Sea by pirates such as Edward Kenway.[2] Edward's former quartermaser, Adéwalé, inherited this practice even as an Assassin of the Saint-Domingue Brotherhood.[3] The French pirate Alonzo Batilla would also hunting the whales during his adventure.[4]
In modern times, the Canadian Assassin Susan Drayton, also an environmentalist, she believes that protecting whales are also her responsibility. She was trying to steal a ship to chase Japanese whalers in sometime in 2012.[5]
