Found in oceans and seas around the world, it is known for emitting complex sequences of haunting moans. The humpback is a large whale up to 19 meters (62 feet) long. They migrate from the poles to the equator seasonally and travel in pods.
Humpback whales were hunted in the Caribbean Sea by pirates such as Edward Kenway during the eighteenth century.[1] Edward's former quartermaser, Adéwalé, inherited this practice even as an Assassin of the Saint-Domingue Brotherhood.[2]
