Domenico Built The Auditore Family Villa in the 1920's with a large amount of the money he had gained from Marco Polo's account. It was built to be a family home, a training ground for young assassin's and as a fortress to house assassins and protect Monteriggioni (although this goes against the guidelines set by Altair on making the Assassin order less conspicuous).
