The Helmet of Keres was a type of helmet dedicated to the Keres, a group of female death-spirits in Greek mythology. As such, it was said that death accompanied whoever wore the helmet.
During the Peloponnesian War, the helmet was sold by blacksmiths and worn throughout the Greek world.[1]
