I wanted to ask you something. Which is... what's your name? This article title is conjecture. Although the article subject is canon, no official name for it has been given. |

The Heckler & Koch Mark 23 or Mark 23 pistol is a semi-automatic pistol specifically designed for offence.
The Templar Daniel Cross wielded a Mark 23 in his operations, most notably at the end of 2012 while hunting the Assassin Desmond Miles.
History
In 2012, the Templar agent Daniel Cross carried one such gun during his hunt for the Assassin Desmond Miles. First tracking him down to One World Trade Center in Manhattan on 16 November,[1] Daniel cornered him at gunpoint. However, Desmond easily disarmed Daniel, and knocked him out before escaping with a Precursor battery.[2] During their second encounter in São Paulo on 2 December,[3] Daniel coldly shot a woman and her husband before Desmond could save them. Daniel attempted to flee with the battery but was once again knocked out while Desmond escaped.[4]
On 14 December,[5] Daniel cornered Desmond one last time with the pistol as his mortal adversary fought his way through the Rome Abstergo facility to rescue his father, then being held captive by Warren Vidic. Just as he was about to execute him, however, he suffered a Bleeding Effect episode that threw him into a frenzy. After firing wildly at Desmond and failing to land a shot, he fled in a panic, but Desmond chased him down and killed him with his Hidden Blade. The Assassin then retrieved Daniel's Mark 23 for his own, using it to devastating effect as he snap-shot the rest of the Abstergo security personnel he encountered on his way to his father.[6]
