The HMS Courage was a Man O' War in His Majesty's Royal Navy during the early 18th century and sailed in the Caribbean Sea.
The HMS Courage carried documents that would implicate merchants and businessmen in illegal activities. However, she was defeated in naval combat by the Jackdaw, captained by assassin-pirate Edward Kenway, who had been hired by the Dutch merchant Milo van der Graaff to sink the HMS Courage before she could deliver the documents.
