Calat Alhambra (Spanish form of the Arabic الْقَلْعَةُ ٱلْحَمْرَاءُ al-Qal‘at al-Ḥamrā’ "the red fortress"), commonly just Alhambra, was a fortress used by the Moors of Spain in the 1400s.
Spain
In 1492 the Spanish laid siege to the fortress in an effort to drive out the Moorish King Muhammad XII.[1][2] The Templars had secretly captured Muhammed to prevent him from formally surrendering, but the Assassin Ezio Auditore da Firenze was able to free Muhammad and facilitate his surrender.[1]
Training
Alhambra is included as an additional multiplayer map in the Animus Project Update 3.0 update (part of The Da Vinci Disappearance), and was used to train Abstergo recruits.[3] In the multiplayer trailer for the location, it was described by the Dama Rossa as a "pearl among diamonds".
Trivia
- Alhambra is considered as one of the easiest places to play Escort, since you just can wait until your target passes by and kill them from one of the many rooftops in Alhambra. [citation needed]
