Calat Alhambra (Spanish form of the Arabic الْقَلْعَةُ ٱلْحَمْرَاءُ al-Qal‘at al-Ḥamrā’ "the red fortress"), commonly just Alhambra, was a fortress used by the Moors of Spain in the 1400s.
Assassin's Creed II: Discovery
In 1492 the Spanish laid seige to the fortress in an effort to drive out the Moorish King Muhammad XII.[1][2] The Templars had secretly captured Muhammed to prevent him from formally surrendering, but the Assassin Ezio Auditore da Firenze was able to free Muhammad and facilitate his surrender.[1]
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
Alhambra is included as an additional multiplayer map in the Animus Project Update 3.0 update (part of The Da Vinci Disappearance).[3] In the multiplayer trailer for the location, it is described by the Dama Rossa as a "pearl among diamonds".
Trivia
- Alhambra is considered as one of the easiest places to play Escort, since you just can wait until your target passes by and kill them from one of the many rooftops in Alhambra. [citation needed]
