This article is about the Greek philosopher. You may be looking for the Greek historian.

Gorgias (483 BCE – 375 BCE) was a Greek philosopher who, along with Protagoras, formed the first generation of Sophists. He was also the teacher of Isokrates.

Although not a native of Athens, Gorgias once delivered Athens' annual funeral oration honoring the victims of war.[1]
