m I was confused over the "archeology" spelling. Even in American English, I never encounter it. Apparently some online sources say that it's a misspelling even in American English. Idk, it looks so wrong to me >.<

Gaston Maspero

Sir Gaston Camille Charles Maspero (1846 – 1916) was a French archaeologist and Egyptologist.

Maspero was Auguste Mariette's successor in the Antiquities Service. He expanded and reorganized it and instigated laws regulating the export of artifacts.[1]
