I explained in the merge proposal discussion that policy actually means that the 2 cuttoe sword pages would be merged w/one another but not with French Cuttoe, and that this actually isn't supposed to be up for discussion since it's part of the organized policy. Most people voted yes w/o clarification b/c they didn't understand the complexity of the policy.

French Cuttoe

The French cuttoe was a hanger sword of French design which was supplemented by a shorter but otherwise identical parrying dagger. During the French and Indian War, the Templar Shay Cormac acquired it from a treasure chest in Fort de Sable on the North Atlantic.[1]
