Francesco Vecellio.

Francesco Vecellio (c. 1485 - 1560) was an Italian painter and a member of the Assassin Order.

Biography

Early life

Francesco Vecellio was born around 1485. Around the year 1498, he was recruited to the Assassin Order. He began his training as Perotto Calderon's understudy. In his younger years he was described by Perotto as tall and thin for his age and a perfectionist, but quick to anger. Despite his anger and self-insults he was wise beyond his years. After Perotto fell for Lucrezia Borgia, she suggested that the Assassin kill Francesco if he caught on to their relationship but Perotto loved Francesco like a son and didn't want to harm him.

He was later involved in the hunt for Perotto when the latter went berserk, breaking all three Tenets of their Creed in a desperate attempt to save his child. Francesco was deeply hurt by his master's betrayal. Furthermore, he, along with the rest of the Assassins were now duty bound to kill Perotto. Francesco initially thought Perotto could be reasoned with, but he could not convince his Brothers to spare Perotto. He helped a team of Assassins to track down Perotto and eventually kill him.

After his mentor's death, Francesco was apprenticed to Master Assassin Ezio Auditore for a short while when he returned to Rome in 1501. After training with Ezio, he met with Leonardo da Vinci and recieved two Hidden Bolts from the inventor. He was put in charge of a team of Assassins whose purpose was to disrupt Cesare Borgia's influence over Italy. Notable members of his team were the African Cipriano Enu, who specialized in archery, and the stealthy Tessa Varzi, who was skilled with poisons. While many of the team's missions took place in Rome, they also visited Romagna, Camerino and Venice, among others. The team had to face the likes of the French Templar Charles de la Motte and also teamed up with the Borgia-traitor Fiora Cavazza to kill Templar agents Rocco Tiepolo, Cahin, Caha and Baltasar de Silva. Sometime in 1503, Francesco recruited Perotto's son, Giovanni Borgia, into the Assassin Order.

He received a high notoriety solo mission in 1510, which was killing Niccolò di Pitigliano and freeing the population of Lonigo from the latter's rule. After learning what he had to know about his target and slowly destroying his influence over Lonigo, Francesco assassinated Niccolò. Initially, Niccolò survived the attack, using a mysterious artifact, but when it backfired and brought his brutal end, it was Francesco who took possession of the artifact.

Painting career

Alongside his Assassin life, Francesco pursued a painting career during the 1520's to 1530's in Cadore, but he would never become as succesful as his younger brother Tiziano Vecellio. In 1524, he signed an altarpiece for San Vito in Cadore. During the 1540's, he painted a polyptych in Candide. In the late 1540s, he painted the organ shutters of San Salvatore in Venice. He painted an Annunciation for San Nicola di Bari, now in the Accademia.

He died in 1560.

Equipment

Francesco was known for carrying some very unique weapons and different combinations in Assassin's Creed. He was known to use his hidden blade with his right hand. Carry a firearm similar to Ezio's hidden gun, though this one shot out smaller crossbow bolts created by Leonardo. But mostly he carried standared sword, knife, and double hidden blades of an assassin.
