Fort Baza was a fort located in the province of Granada in Andalusia, Spain.
During the Granada War, the fort served as one of the last defenses of the Emirate of Granada against the armies of Aragon and Castile.
History[edit | edit source]
Around 1491, the Spanish Army laid siege to the fort with assistance from the Templar-affiliated Spanish Inquisition. In an attempt to deprive the Spanish Army of food and supplies to weaken their offensive, the Assassins infiltrated their camp and disrupted their supplies.[1]
Despite the Assassins' assistance, Fort Baza eventually fell to the Spanish Army, allowing their heavy artilery to move in to lay siege to Granada.[2]
