A Fight Club is an association that organizes fights between its members. Contrary to a duel or gladiator fights, the opponents use their fists in the fight and don't seek to kill their adversary. This kind of club is mostly illegal and gambling is frequently used to reward the winner.
History
Renaissance
By 1500, the Italian Italian Assassin and Mercenary Bartolomeo d'Alviano housed a fight club in the basement of his Caserma, open to his mercenaries for fighting for training and money. The Master Assassin Ezio Auditore da Firenze participated in some of the fights to gain money and the respect of the mercenaries.[1]
By 1511, the mercenaries of Constantinople housed a fight club in their headquarters near the Harbor of Theodosius. Ezio Auditore da Firenze became a member of this club as well during his stay in the city.[2]
Colonial America

During the American Revolution, a fight club known as the Boston Brawlers operated in Boston, New York City, and the Frontier. To participate in their tournaments, the candidate needed to beat six of the Brawlers. The Colonial Assassin Ratonhnhaké:ton became the champion of the Brawlers during the American Revolutionary War.[3]
