Farim was a member of the Assassin Order and father of Swami, Abbas Sofian's right-hand man.

He was seen by Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad as being one of the Order's most weak-minded and conniving members, and had gained a significant amount of weight during the Mentor's ten-year absence.
