Ervin László (born 12 May 1932) is a Hungarian philosopher of science and theorist.

László has posited that the substance of the cosmos is a field of information, which he calls the "Akashic field", or "A-field". Although this theory has been debated in scientific circles, Abstergo Industries claims to have discovered evidence in favor of the "A-field" through initiatives such as the Animus Project.
