Erudito was an individual who had been aware of Abstergo Industries' secret activities.

Erudito sent an email to Desmond with the message Stay in the loop, and the passwords to the accounts of his Assassin friends. This displayed the mysterious skills of Erudito, as the Templars seemed unaware that the Assassins used the 'Hephaestus Email Network' for their communications, yet he knew of and hacked into the system in order to make sure Desmond knew more about his situation.

Project Legacy

Erudito had been aware of the project labeled 'Project Legacy' since before the player began their activities for Abstergo. He had been attempting to warn the people taking part in the project about the true meaning of their work for the company, and occasionally left extra missions for the Abstergo Employee to accomplish.

Erudito had shown his advanced capabilities with computers, in that he was able to hack into the DDS to leave messages and unlocked previously blocked memories. He appeared to be against the Templars, showing knowledge of their illicit activities, advising the Abstergo Employee to 'fly under the radar' and speaking derisively when they chose answers to quizzes which appeared supportive of Abstergo.

Abstergo Sweater

On Thursday, January 13, 2011, anyone who had ordered an Abstergo staff sweater through Ubiworkshop recieved an email from Erudito explaining the binary code on the back of it. The email goes as follows.

The puzzle was having to realise that the binary code was a secret link to extra information. By adding the binary to the end of the url, and by using the user's unique code, they may access the Abstergo company email inbox. There were several sections within the inbox which could not be accessed except with a higher security level such as BETA 3+. This suggested that there would be more events to occur.

Datadumpscanner

An alternate reality game was featured through datadumpscanner, an Abstergo data dump on Twitter. From time to time Erudito 'hacked' into the system to interact with users. The times Erudito had interacted through this method were: Friday, October 15, 2010; Friday, October 29, 2010; Friday, November 12, 2010; Friday, December 03, 2010; and Monday, December 17.

Trivia

• "Erudito" is Italian for "scholar" or "learned one," which is appropriate considering how much information he has gathered on Abstergo.
• When you "like" Gamestop on Facebook, you get an item called Erudito's Network for Assassin's Creed: Project Legacy, which gives you a higher probability to receive XP, Florins or chance items. Since the release of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, the code (7D05C12C) is no longer on Gamestop's Facebook page.
• In Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Desmond Miles receives an e-mail from Erudito, advising him to "Stay in the loop". The e-mail gives Desmond the passwords to the e-mail accounts of his fellow Assassins Rebecca Crane, Shaun Hastings and Lucy Stillman.
• The letters of "ERUDITO", when rearranged spell out "UDITORE" (In English "Auditor"), and with only an "A" added spells AUDITORE.
