Ercole I d'Este (26 October 1431 – 15 June 1505) was the Duke of Ferrara from 1471 to his death.
Ercole's rule saw Ferrara at war with the Republic of Venice[1] and the patronage of the actor Pietro Rossi.[2]
In 2012, he was included in a mnemonic set in Abstergo Industries' Project Legacy.[3]
