The Elysian Axe was a legendary axe inspired by the mythical Elysian Fields, the paradise which only the greatest of heroes entered in Greek mythology.
During the 5th century BCE, this weapon was in the possession of Polemon, the Sage of the Silver Vein branch of the Cult of Kosmos. The Spartan misthios Kassandra claimed the axe after defeating Polemon within Teichos of Herakles in Achaia.[1]
