The Eirena Military Camp

The Eirena Military Camp was a military camp set on slopes northeast of Megara in Megaris, Greece.

During the Peloponnesian War, the camp was infilitrated by the Spartan misthios Kassandra, who eliminated the soldiers, burned the supplies, and freed their captive.[1]

Trivia

  • Eirena is variant transliteration of εἰρήνη (eirḗnē), the Greek word meaning 'peace', and also the name of the personification of peace in Greek mythology. Her Roman equivalent was Pax.
