Egwald was a 9th century Norseman of Grantebridge, Grantebridgescire.

Circa 870s, Egwald and his brothers made their way to England, only for an insane Egwald to imprison his brothers in their own longship. Afterwards, he killed his own brothers and self-appointed himself the Lord of Norsexe, a speck of land off the coast of Grantebridge. Soon, he was visited by Viking Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan, whom he tasked to find his lost arm ring in exchange for his allegiance. However, Eivor found the truth from the brothers' note left behind as she returned back to Egwald. There, she decided on whether to challenge his story.[1]
