Egil the Fornicating Crow was the alias of a criminal in late 9th century England.
Known for stealing food and murdering several innocent Norsefolk who had hoped to trade him with, Egil was declared a wanted criminal under Danelaw and under the rule of both King Alfred of Wessex and King Burgred of Mercia. Reeve Othswith of Grantebridgescire thus placed a number of wanted posters around Grantebridge with details surrounding Egil's crimes.[1]
