The Dome of the Rock (Arabic: الحرم الشريف, al-Haram ash-Sharīf) is an Islamic shrine (or mosque) and a major landmark located in the city of Jerusalem. It appears in Assassin's Creed and is located in the rich district of the city. It was built between 689 and 691 AD. It is one of the most recognised and important Islamic shrines in the city and one of the most controversial.
