Akakios (died 47 BCE) was a Roman citizen of Cyrene, Cyrenaica during the 1st century BCE.
Akakios became involved with Vesta, a prostitute in the city during the mid-1st century BCE. Together, they had an illegitimate child who was named Oidipous. After Vesta's death, Oidipous blamed Akakios and two other men for her death and renamed herself after her mother. After the deaths of banker Paulus Aurelius and actor Metrobius, Akakios was the last of the targets to be killed by his illegitimate child. His body was later found in the brothel by the Medjay Bayek, who proceeded to put an end to Vesta's killing spree.[1]
