Aisin-Gioro hala-i Fulin (Manchu: ᡶᡠᠯᡳᠨ; Chinese: 愛新覺羅 福臨; 1638 – 1661), the Shunzhi Emperor (Chinese: 順治帝), was the third emperor of the Qing dynasty and the first Qing emperor to rule over China, from 8 October 1644 until his death.[1]

Biography

Early during his reign, the Shunzhi Emperor had an official portrait drawn by the court artist of the Qing dynasty.[2]

Legacy

In 2012, the Shunzi Emperor was one of many historical people included in the Glyph puzzles the late Assassin Clay Kaczmarek had left behind in the Animus as messages for his successor Desmond Miles to decipher. Desmond later did in September of that year.[3] Desmond solved this puzzle, which was part of a set titled "Instruments of Power" where the Shunzi Emperor was excluded from the list of historical individuals revealed by Clay to have wielded a Staff of Eden.[2]
