Deinokrates (fl. 4th century BCE) was a Rhodian architect who served as technical advisor to Alexander the Great.
Following Alexander's founding of Alexandria in Egypt, Deinokrates was tasked to design the city's plan, adopting the Hippodamian grid plan.[1]
