Dead Men Tell No Tales was the name given to a tiny islet located in Lake Mareotis, northeast of the town of Yamu.
In 48 BCE, the Medjay Bayek of Siwa visited the islet where he found a body of a man who had been shot to death by a barrage of arrows. Reading a note left nearby, he deduced the man had been killed by tax collectors serving under Sefetu, the governor of Sais.[1]
