The terrifying jinni had stalked Basim's dreams as long as he could remember. Haunted since childhood, Basim dreaded its nightly approach. Paralyzed and helpless, he would wake in terror just before the jinni could consume him. Basim feared that the creature might one day break free of his nightmares; he yearned to exorcise his jinni.
