The Crescent Helmet was a type of helmet used during the 5th century BCE. The name of this helmet references the two horns on each side, shaped like a crescent Moon, the symbol of the Greek goddess of the night Nyx.
During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra possibly obtained this helmet during her travels.[1]
