Constantius II (Latin: Flavius Julius Constantius Augustus; Greek: Κωνστάνιτιος; 317 – 361), born Flavius Julius Constantius, was Roman Emperor from 337 to his death.
In 357, Constantius pilfered an Egyptian obelisk from Karnak in Thebes and had it taken to Alexandria in celebration of his 20th year as sovereign.[1]
