Constantine VII Porphyrogennetos (Greek: Kōnstantinos VII Porphyrogennētos; 17/18 May 905 – 9 November 959) was Byzantine Emperor from 913 to his death.
During his reign, he repaired and further augmented the Walled Obelisk, causing it to be named after him.
