The San Andrea della Valle was a major structure in Rome, in the rione of Sant'Eustachio.
History
It was the site were the Basilica di Sant'Andrea della Valle would later be built. The land was bequethed to the Duchess of Amalfi, who herself was a descendant of Pope Pius II. She was later charged with erecting a church in honour of Saint Andrew. She died before it was completed in 1650, but the building was something to behold and was celebrated all over the world for its stunning interior.
