Charlotte was a fort controlled by the British Royal Navy during the Golden Age of Piracy, until it was overrun and captured by the pirate Edward Kenway. The fort was located on the northwestern point of the island of Jamaica, in the Caribbean.
After the fort was taken from British control, a harbormaster's station was built down on the docks, where Kenway was also able to accept two naval contracts from agents representing the Dutch merchant Milo van der Graaff.
