Carentan is a rural town in Normandy, France.
History
On 18 June 1944, following the Battle of Carentan a M7 Priest tank from the United States Armed Forces 2nd Armored Division 14th Field Artillery Regiment drove through the intersection of Holgate Street and the railway line Paris-Cherbourg in the newly liberated town.[1]
In 2012, a photograph of a M7 Priest tank driving through the liberated town was later acquired by the Assassin Clay Kaczmarek and hidden in the Animus for his successor, Desmond Miles to find. Desmond did so in September of that year.[2] The picture was hidden with the Glyph puzzle titled "The Bunker".[1]
