The Cannegriaro District is a district in Venice, and is also the Jewish Sector, also known as Ghetto. (Shaun Hastings said that it didn't mean 'This couch is so Ghetto'.)

History

The Cannegriaro District, being a large district located at the north of Venice, had been used as the district where all Jewish Italians were restricted, with the name 'Ghetto' (Meaning 'place where Jews are restricted to) Cannegriaro was full of Jews by 1476. A vast array of Venetian City Guards were active in the district during the Renaissance, making sure no Jew was to escape. There was, however, a few churches that Jews could go to on their Sabbath. The district was also popular for couriers and banking.

Involvement in Assassin's Creed II

Whilst not having Core Memories, Cannegriaro has a lot of Side Missions; including Courier Missions, Assassination Contracts, and Beat-Up Events. No Templar Lairs and Assassin Tombs are present in the District.
