Bubastis was an ancient Egyptian city located in Im-Khent Nome, center and home to the cult of Bastet.

At some point during his travels, the Medjay Bayek of Siwa became acquainted with the High Priestess of the temple of Bastet in Bubastis. During the Roman occupation of Alexandria, Bayek directed Khalid, a man sworn to the service of the cat-goddess and her avatars, to the temple so that he could better serve his goddess.[1]
