The Acqua Vergene was an aqueduct that could be found within Rome. The Aqua Vergene was built as part of a renovation of its predecessor, the Aqua Virgo, in 1453 by Pope Nicholas V.
History
Named partially for the virgin waters that flow through its channels and a myth that thirty Roman soldiers asking for water were led by a beautiful young girl to the source springs, the Acqua Vergene is the most famous water source in Rome. Its springs provide the Treve fountain, the Villa Borghese, the north and south fountains of the Piazza Navona, and the fountains of Piazza del Popolo with their water, none of which you will get to see, because they were all built in the mid-16th century.
Gameplay
The Acqua Vergene could be found in the northern section of the Campagna district. It had one broken aqueduct that could be renovated by an architect. This was one of the four broken aqueducts that could be renovated, the others being the Acquedotto Claudia, Acqua Marcia and Acqua Antoniniana.
