The battle of Megara was an early engagement in the Peloponnesian War, fought between the Athens-supported armies of Megara and Sparta in 431 BCE.

The Spartan army, which was commanded by Nikolaos, the "Wolf of Sparta", and his adopted son Stentor, and supported by the misthios Kassandra, claimed victory and subjugated Megara.[1]
