Björn Ironside (777–859), born Björn Ragnarsson, was a Norse Viking chief and king of Sweden.

Biography

When his father, Ragnar Lodbrok was killed by King Aella of Northumbria, Björn and his brothers Halfdan, Ivarr the Boneless, Ubba, and Sigurd Snake-in-the-Eye plotted their revenge.[1]

Legacy

Björn and his brothers were mentioned by Halfdan in 876 to Eivor Varinsdottir as he reflected on his lost brothers.[1]
