Frederick I (Swedish: Fredrik I; 1676 – 1751) was prince consort of Sweden from 1718 to 1720, and King of Sweden from 1720 until his death. He was also Landgrave of Hesse-Kassel from 1730.

Biography[edit | edit source]

During his reign, Frederick received an offer from King George II of England to finance the Swedish Navy. The Assassins in Stockholm, who were using the Swedish Levant Company as a cover, believed that the English offer might be backed by the Templars and thus wrote to the Mentor of the Colonial Assassins, Achilles Davenport, to report their suspicions.[1]
