Bayezid II (December 3, 1447-May 26, 1512) was the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire from 1481 to 1512. The Sultan welcomed many escaped refugees from the Inquisition of Isabella I of Castile and Manuel I of Portugal. The King of Spain, Ferdinand I under the influence of the Templars tried to send his own agents with the refugees but were foiled by the Assassins, who took their places.
