The Battleground of Megaris was the site of a battle in the Occupied Forest of Tripodiskos in Megaris, Greece during the Peloponnesian War. Near the Battlefield Cave and the Persian Cliff, a tall cliff rose by the battlefield.
In 431 BCE, the first year of the conflict, the Spartans under Nikolaos invaded the region to conquer Megara, then a member of the Delian League. With help from the misthios Kassandra, Nikolaos' long lost stepdaughter, the Spartans won a decisive victory on this battlefield and subsequently seized all of Megaris.[1]
