The first recorded usage of the name Connor was the High King of Tara and all of Ireland during the celtic era, who was named Connor. He was named so because he loved to hunt wolves with two Irish wolf hounds. He was more well known in the fables of the Fianna (Mythical soldiers) but an actual king was the first recorded usage of the name too. (There's some boring Irish history for you :P ).
