Okay, so reading that over, I realized that Guesdon didn't exactly explicitly say that in regards to Amunet's role. His statement should technically still apply to it though since he said they won't contradict ''anything'' in previous lore, but we know that Ubisoft also said that about the film, and that certainly was not true. :( | Okay, so reading that over, I realized that Guesdon didn't exactly explicitly say that in regards to Amunet's role. As I mentioned earlier, the Gameinformer magazine that had brought us the first news about the game states that the lore about Amunet wouldn't be contradicted. Here's the actual link.
On page 43, in the last paragraph under the section "Bayek and Beyond", it says:
"The Origins team isn't saying if they'll show the event [of Cleopatra's assassination] – or if that era of the timeline is even featured – but creative director Jean Guesdon says that they won't contradict anything that's been established in previous lore."
Okay, so reading that over, I realized that Guesdon didn't exactly explicitly say that in regards to Amunet's role. His statement should technically still apply to it though since he said they won't contradict anything in previous lore, but we know that Ubisoft also said that about the film, and that certainly was not true. :(
