Seeing as Rodrigo Borgia isn't named Alexander VI and that the Papal titles still are titles rather than real names, I propose we move the current articles on popes to the real names of the characters. -- {{User:Master Sima Yi/sig}} 08:46, July 6, 2012 (UTC)

:Papal names are adopted names; their names are legally changed upon their accession, much like a monarch's usually is. From that moment forth they are known only as their chosen name. I think we should actually move Rodrigo's article to ''Alexander VI'' since that was his official name at the time of his death. --{{Signature/Jasca Ducato}} 17:59, July 6, 2012 (UTC)

Real names[edit source]

Seeing as Rodrigo Borgia isn't named Alexander VI and that the Papal titles still are titles rather than real names, I propose we move the current articles on popes to the real names of the characters. -- Master Sima Yi Talk 08:46, July 6, 2012 (UTC)

Papal names are adopted names; their names are legally changed upon their accession, much like a monarch's usually is. From that moment forth they are known only as their chosen name. I think we should actually move Rodrigo's article to Alexander VI since that was his official name at the time of his death. --Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record 17:59, July 6, 2012 (UTC)
