About Me[edit | edit source]
Hello Brothers and Sisters and welcome to my About Me page!
Actually, this became a story of my gaming life. It's supposed to be something ABOUT ME. But it became like a story and I do not know why.
This would be a long page, so it is up to you if you want to read it.
As you can see, my name [here in the internet] is smf4297. I'm a girl living in the Philippines.
Born to a family with uncles who loves technology, at a tender age of four, I learned how to use a computer. Thus, I have been in-love with computer/console games ever since. Instead of playing Barbie dolls and dress-up or having tea parties I choose to play with joysticks and keyboards. Because of this, I was teased by my classmates as a 'tomboy' and my grandparents greatly dissaproves of this hobbies.
So the very first consoles I played on are; Super Famicom, SNES, Sega Genesis and our Pentium 1 PC. There I discover my love of RPG games like Sonic the Hedgehog, Bubble Heroes, Sunset Riders, Zombies Ate Our Neighbors etc. Then years after that my father bought me a Gameboy Advance (which is up until now, working) where I discovered games like Pokemon, Fire Emblem and Final Fantasy.
Fascinated with the weapons, timelines and references used by Final Fantasy, I began reading books related to the terms I hear in-game. This made me a wide reader of books relating to Mythology and Medieval Era.
Then at year 2006, having just bought a new computer, my eldest brother (the one who influenced me) introduced me to a game that pushed my love for RPGs to the brink; The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Thanks to this game, my love RPG just grew even more.
Then at 2007 a game changes my view of everything. A game that gave quite an impact that no other games I played had ever done.
Assassin's Creed
Been playing the game up until now, repeating it and its sequels. I love the game and I don't know why! :D
That game gave me a reason to love History so much. Together with the other games that I played in the past and some animes that I watch, I was inspired to write fictional stories. Thus, at Grade 7 I discovered fanfiction and became a fanfic author. And hoping that one day, I would become a real published author.
Well that is the story of my gaming life. Phew.
Wierdly, I was planning to type in my profile and this came out instead...
Guess I got carried away.
