List of cardinals

Hi all, Jasca Ducato quiet rightly stated that this article isn't a list of Cardinals and is more an article about being a Cardinal. I had intended to add a list of all known Cardinals in-series to this page but have come across some difficulties such as, peolpe like Juan Borgia the elder, and younger, amongst others are, in my mind, 'blatantly' Cardinals. - I base this mainly on two points.
1. Their appearance (Red clothing with big round hats, that all the cardinals wear), and
2. Considering their position within the church.
I can not add these however becuase I can't find any source anywhere (so far) that actually states that they are/were in fact Cardinals. Please could someone help with this, I assume, having not read them myself, that there may be the approriate sources in the books such as Renaissance and Brotherhood.
