Zeno of Kition (c. 334 BCE – c. 262 BCE) was a Phoenician philosopher from the city of Kition, Cyprus.

In 301 BCE, Zeno came to Athens and chose the Stoa Poikilè in the Agora as his place of teaching, where it eventually became a site for his school of philosophy, dubbed as Stoicism.[1]
