Xiphos of Peleus

The Xiphos of Peleus was a legendary xiphos which had belonged to Peleus, a King of the Myrmidons and father of Achilles in Greek mythology. The sword was said to have accompanied Peleus throughout all his battles.

The sword was later kept in a chest in Artemisia Fort on the Greek island of Kos. During the Peloponnesian War, it was retrieved by the Spartan misthios Kassandra during her time on the island.[1]
