Artemisia I of Caria (died 5th century BCE) was a Greek queen of the ancient Greek polis Halicarnassus and of the nearby islands of Kos, Nisyros, and Kalymnos. She was the grandmother of Lygdamis.

During the Second Persian invasion of Greece, she fought alongside Xerxes I of Persia against the independent Greek city states.[1]
